THE SCIENCE BEHIND OLEOCANTHAL
In 1999, Dr. Gary Beauchamp of the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia discovered oleocanthal during a visit to a Sicilian olive mill.
In 2005, Dr. Beauchamp and his team published the first study on oleocanthal's anti inflammatory and analgesic properties, which resemble those of ibuprofen.
